Date of Defense 1976-06-15 Availability restricted AbstractA study of several techniques that may be used to solve exterior electromagnetic scattering problems was made. Analytical methods, moment methods, sub sectional methods, probabilistic methods, integral equation methods, and analog/hybrid computer methods were considered in the study to determine the best method to use in a general approach
to scattering problems. It was shown that while all these methods were able to solve certain classes of problems, no single technique qualified
as a general solution method.
